Hello, I’m Sophie, Founder of Murie and Pearl.
Murie and Pearl was created so we could share with you the wonder of beautiful crystals from around the world.
Our self-care products combined with the healing properties of the crystals, can take you on a journey, to a place where you can indulge yourself in choosing hand-picked crystals for your own specific needs. They can be used within your chosen profession or workplace, as a support to a natural therapy, or in meditation. Our crystals are perfect for gifts to friends and loved ones, or you may just love the energy, sparkle and unique beauty the crystals hold.
We feel it is important for you to take time out of your hectic day, to give yourself some precious moments of peace, and to spoil yourself using wonderful products that will ease away the aches, pains and stresses of everyday life.
While it can be hard to put yourself first, you matter, and you deserve to feel pampered, relaxed and rejuvenated. We believe even just a few minutes a day for your own selfcare, can have a positive impact on your emotional and physical wellbeing.
The name Murie comes from my Nan, Muriel, and one of the main reasons I adored my Nan so much was her compassion for others. She believed in giving to those who needed help, but she was also a supporter of taking care of yourself. Her nurturing spirit is what inspired me to help others through my own business, and why I chose her name for the brand, to continue her spirit of giving.
The name Muriel itself means “star of the sea” and there is no better way to describe her, as she grew up in the fishing community in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
My Nan loved pearls and treasured hers, so ‘pearl’ was the perfect accompaniment to finish the company name. This in essence, is how we view our customers, each person we serve is a treasure who is as unique and individual as the crystals we provide.
It wasn’t just my Nan who inspired the business, as my family have been utilizing the power of alternative therapies, aromatherapy, homeopathy, crystals, and natural skincare for as long as I can remember. I have always loved Amethyst…I was gifted my first little pocket of crystals when I was around 5 years old by my parents… a Tiger’s eye, Lapis Lazuli, a Clear Quartz and an Amethyst tumble stone, and my collection has been growing ever since.
We take great pride in the products we offer, ensuring they are of the best quality. We want you to feel good about shopping with us from every aspect. All our products are cruelty-free, and we provide special attention to sensitive skin, and scents that are appealing yet gentle. We work closely with our suppliers to bring you the best quality crystals available at affordable prices.
Our packaging is recyclable, biodegradable and compostable where possible. We are continually looking for more zero waste options, to comply with our eco-friendly policy as much as possible. We aim to help the environment by giving back to organizations doing good for the world. We have teamed up with the charity Ecologi, which plant a tree for each sale we make, YOU make all this possible, by placing an order on the website, a percentage of your order is sent directly to our Ecologi account, where they will then plant a tree, your contributing to the restoration of wildlife habitats and reduce carbon pollution. you can click the link at the top of our website for more details and to keep upto date with our planting progress. We want to help as our Nan had done, by giving to those that needed support, so a percentage of all our sales is donated to several different charities throughout each year.
